Resting at the bottom of St Elias hill, in the county of Dubrovnik in Croatia, is the beautiful town of Orebić. Hundred year old pine and cypress trees along with almond trees fill the countryside of Orbeic. History
Tourism stated back in 1904, so the hotels and restaurants are professionals when it comes to service and dining. There are clean furnished apartment and family houses. There are camp grounds and outdoor facilities available. You can rent a car, or a boat. There is a surfing and diving school and you can canoe, play tennis, bike ride, and visit the local Franciscan Monastery, the church there was built in 1486.
The restaurants offer local fresh fish, grilled meats, lamb, bread, and the excellent local wine. There are several cafes and bars along the shore that offer music and dancing. The hotels also have bars that turn into nightclubs. If you’re looking for lively entertainment you can find it near the beach.
Things to do
There are numerous festivals that take place in the summer. One of the most famous is Our Lady of Karmen which is held on July 16th. There are theater tours and cultural events and several entertainment programs to enjoy. There is a shopping center, a post office, coffee-bars, art galleries, a marina, clinics and a sports playground.
Another big attraction is the Church of Our Lady of Angels. You need a car to get there, but the drive through the old pine forest is worth the trip, it sits 498 ft above the sea. It is a magnificent structure built in the 15th century that offers a spectacular view of the surrounding area.
